THINGS TO DO AFTER THESIS DEFENSE EXAM
Graduate students whose thesis is accepted with a "successful" decision in the Thesis Defense Exam must prepare and submit the following documents and materials to their Departments in order to graduate. The relevant Department forwards these documents to the Institute with an official letter.
1. After the Thesis Defense Exam, the thesis is reviewed one final time by the Institute. Once the thesis receives approval for binding, it must be bound in 3 copies (4 copies for graduate students with a second advisor) using the "Master's Thesis Cover Template (Single Advisor / Dual Advisor)" or "Doctoral Thesis Cover Template (Single Advisor / Dual Advisor)".
2. After the Thesis Defense Exam, a printout of the first page showing the total "similarity percentage" of the thesis from the Plagiarism Detection Program and the date the report was obtained must be submitted. This page must be signed by both the advisor and the student. The similarity percentage must be below 25%.
3. The "Thesis Data Entry Form" available on the YÖK website (https://tez.yok.gov.tr/UlusalTezMerkezi/) must be filled out and signed (2 copies).
4. Online Disassociation Procedures (for the Library, BAP, etc.) must be completed using the SDUNET Platform. No printouts are required. Click here for a video tutorial on the online disassociation process.
5. The student ID card must be submitted. Students who have lost their ID card must submit the entire page of a local newspaper in Isparta where the loss (missing) announcement was published.
6. Two CDs must be prepared. One CD should contain 4 folders with the following contents:
- 1st folder: Turkish thesis abstract (in PDF format)
- 2nd folder: English thesis abstract (in PDF format)
- 3rd folder: The complete scanned version of the bound thesis (excluding the APPROVAL PAGE, DECLARATION PAGE, and CV) in PDF format.
- 4th folder: Signed thesis data entry form (in PDF format)
7. Each CD must be labeled with a permanent marker, indicating the Name, Surname, Department, and Graduate Program (Master's or Doctoral). In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, personal information (signatures, phone numbers, email addresses, Turkish ID numbers, place and date of birth, etc.) must not be included in the thesis on the CD.
